2010 Lung Kong Tin Yee Association U.S.A. Scholarship Applications
are Now Available
Continuing undergraduate college students and 2010 High school and Middle school graduates with
the surnames or Lau, Kwan, Jung, and Chew, and, with at least a 3.50 G.P.A. are eligible to receive
a scholarship from the USA Lung Kong Tin Yee Association. To apply, please print a copy of the
application and return it with the required documentation by August 10, 2010.

Miss Asian America Pageant at Palace of Fine Arts, Saturday August 7, 2010
Have you ever wondered what happens behind the scenes at a beauty pageant? Well, here's your
opportunity. Volunteer at the 25th Annual Miss Asian America Pageant on Saturday, August 7th at the Palace
of Fine Arts in San Francisco. This wonderful pagent, founded and produced by Loong Kong member Rose
Chung, is a celebration of Beauty, Elegance, and Culture, The pageant proceeds are donated to Asian
Perinatal Advocates and the Stanford University Asian Liver Center which helps treat Hepatitis B in the Asian
community. Volunteers are needed in the areas of food service,ushers, and dressing room assistants.
Food service volunteers: Purchase, plan, prepare and serve food to contestants, volunteers and staff.
Dressing room assistants: (female only) Assist contestants in the dressing room.
Ushers: Seat members of the audience on the evening of the Pageant.

Loong Kong rewards the outstanding academic achievement of four family students at the annual LKTYA USA
Scholarship Ceremony. LKYG will be on hand to assist with registration. After the ceremony, LKYG will hold
an ice cream social for this year's scholarship recipients.
